C/2 – Partial PhD Studies

 

C/2. - partial PhD studies (1-12 months)
Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD programme at an accredited institution of higher education in his/her home country or in a foreign country (but not in Hungary).
 
Age limit 35 years for scholarship for PhD scholarships
 
Documents to be submitted
Every application must contain two (2) copies of the documents listed below in one of the following languages: English, French or German[1] in the order given. In addition, online application will also be required on the HSB website.
 
C/2. - partial PhD studies
î   Application form of the Hungarian Scholarship Board (that can be edited in the online application system)
î   Curriculum Vitae (there are no criteria for the printed version; in the online system you have to fill in the form under the menu point “Edit Your CV”)
î   List of publications
î   Copy of highest degree/diploma
î   Precise and detailed work plan – maximum two pages
î   Certificate of proficiency in Hungarian – unless there is another agreed upon working language for the proposed course/programme (to be attached to the letter of invitation)
î   Two letters of recommendation, one by the applicant’s home institution, one by the supervisor in Hungary
î   Copy of enrolment of the applicant’s doctoral school
î   Letter of invitation by the director of an accredited doctoral school in Hungary (The PhD programmemust be tuition-free.)
î   Medical certificate of satisfactory health condition (it is issued by the family/district doctor)
 
Financial provision
 
HUF 93 000 per month, paid by the host institution, and student hostel accommodation in a university residence hall paid by the scholarship-holder.[2]
 


[1] In case one of the documents submitted (certificate of the highest degree/diploma, proof of enrolment, supporting documents) is not in one of these languages, it is requested to submit a translation thereof.
[2] Scholarship-holders from Russia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia who were granted their scholarship based on a bilateral agreement receive their stipend from the sending Party, the amount thereof is set by the respective scholarship offices. The host institute provides them with accommodation in a university residence hall.
